Biography
Sam received his law degree from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1975. For his entire career, until early 2012, Sam practiced law in the firm of Weber Gunn, PLLC. Sam's founded Sam B. Gunn Law Firm PLLC in 2012. Sam has been practicing for over 45 years and is currently of counsel to the firm.
Sam currently practices estate planning and probate. He is happy to have helped generations of families with their legal matters.
Sam is a member and past president of the Estate Planning Council of Southwest Washington. He has extensive experience in wills, trusts, community property agreements, powers of attorney, heath care directives (living wills), estate and gift tax planning and elder law/Medicaid planning. Although Sam has handled hundreds of probates of estates since 1975, he always explores with his clients any possible options for avoiding probate to minimize the time and expense involved in settling the estate of a loved one.
Sam is involved in the community. He served as a member of the Vancouver School District Board of Directors from 1993 to 2005. He is a charter member and past president of Salmon Creek Lions Club. He's a die-hard Seattle Mariners fan and still enjoys playing basketball (when he's not injured). Sam and his wife, Vonda, have six children and fourteen grandchildren.
